Press Release: Weisenbach Recycled Products announces improved Frames made from 100% recovered defective and obsolete circuit boards

January 17, 2013 - Columbus, OH

Weisenbach Recycled Products has recently improved their popular Circuit Board Award Frames by including even more recycled material in the manufacturing process. Instead of using a hanger made from metal or virgin material, the frame hangers are now made from the recycled circuit board material as well. Weisenbach uses specialized cutting tools to create the functional recycled hangers.

Not accepting that a material "Can't be Recycled," Weisenbach has embraced the challenge of turning the waste material into a commercially viable and useful product while meeting the consumer demand for environmentally conscious alternatives to traditional acrylic awards or other recognition items.

As more people are purchasing more electronic gadgets such as smart phones, tablets, laptops and PCs and frequently replacing those gadgets as the latest new technology is released; Weisenbach has seen an ever-increasing supply of electronic waste. However, as those gadgets have become increasingly smaller, so have the circuit boards that are inside of them. This has presented a manufacturing challenge, as the certificate frames had previously been made from one large piece of circuit board material.

The ever-changing market supply has demanded that Weisenbach find creative solutions. The recycled-product manufacturer developed a new process by which smaller circuit boards can be uniformly joined together, right in their Columbus facility. The process takes a little more time, but the end result is a quality, unique product that is sustainable and meets the needs, as well as the expectations of their customers.

Increased sales of recycled products such as this will allow the company to continue to research and develop new products and new methods to further support its customers green initiatives.  Developing markets for these and similar products is a primary focus for Weisenbach, to which they strive by educating people on both the importance of recycling, and also buying recycled.
